An Announcement from Newbreak’s Board of Elders Regarding the Wachs’ Resignation

First, what happened?

On Tuesday, Nov 28, you should have received an email from Pastor Robert Wachs announcing that he has resigned as the Lead Pastor of Newbreak Church. While we are saddened to see Pastor Robert go, we know that God has a plan both for Pastor Robert and Lisa, as well as Newbreak Church.

As a board, we also have the utmost confidence in the existing team (Pastors JoAnn, Markus, Jared, Brayden, and the rest of our amazing staff) to continue leading alongside Pastor Mike during this season of transition. They have been and will continue to carry out the church’s mission to connect people with God, through authentic relationships, to serve the community. We are thankful for our Pastoral team’s commitment to serve and encourage you to express your support to them through prayer and words of encouragement.

What's  Newbreak?

After much prayer, Newbreak’s elder board 

as asked our Legacy Pastor, Mike Quinn, 

along with his wife, Teresa, to step in as 

interim Lead Pastor. Pastor Mike and

 Teresa have faithfully led this church sin

ce its inception in 1986, and we believe th

eir leadership will bring the wisdom an

d stability we need as we all navigate th

is transition together.

We know that God has this under control.

Church, we feel confident that God’s plan for Newbreak Church is beyond anything we could ask or imagine, and we ask that you continue to join us in prayer as we take these next steps. Pray for your Pastors, church leaders, and the Wachs family, and above all, ask God to show you how He wants to use you and your Newbreak Church family to multiply His Kingdom.

“I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.
